MISSION STATEMENT

To develop and maintain an economic climate which will create jobs and enhance the quality of life for all citizens of the Horn Lake area.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

To continue increasing Chamber membership, generating participation and income.

 

To maintain and increase jobs and expand the tax base of the City of Horn Lake by recruiting commercial, retail, professional and residential businesses.

 

To develop and improve work skills of potential workforce through training and improving customer service.

 

To support the City of Horn Lake committees on signs, cleanup and community pride awards.

 

To promote and enhance the image of the Horn Lake area.

OUTGOING PRESIDENT DAVID VENTURA OF SHIPLEY DONUTS WAS AWARDED THE "CHAMBER PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR 2007-2008 AT THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP BANQUET HELD ON JULY 24TH AT THE DESOTO CIVIC CENTER.  DAVID GIVES OF HIS TIME, MONEY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, DONUTS TO MOST OF THE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE AREA.  WAY TO GO DAVID!!!!!

    

KEITH AND PENNY RUSSELL, OWNERS OF AUDUBON POINT RV PARK AND MINI STORAGE WON THE HORN LAKE CHAMBER'S "BUSINESS OF THE YEAR" AWARD FOR 2007-2008 GIVEN AT THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP BANQUET HELD ON JULY 24TH AT THE DESOTO CIVIC CENTER.  THE PARK WAS THE HOST SITE FOR THE "CREOLE CRAWFISH" FESTIVAL AND THE UPCOMING "BULLFROGS AND BLUEGRASS" FESTIVAL. 

   

THE MAYOR, ALDERMEN, CHAMBER BOARD MEMBERS, AND MEMBERS IN GENERAL WERE AT THE CHAMBER'S RECENT RIBBON CUTTING/OPEN HOUSE AT OUR NEW LOCATION, 3010 GOODMAN ROAD.  FOOD WAS PROVIDED BY SCHNUCKS, JIM HOLLAND, ZAXBY'S, NEWLYWEDS FOODS, MRS. WINNERS, AND HOOTERS.  BARBECUE WAS DONE BY DAVID VENTURA AND LARRY WITHERSPOON.

    
OUTGOING PRESIDENT DAVID VENTURA PRESENTS THE KEY TO THE CITY TO KEYNOTE SPEAKER TODD SCHNUCK, PRESIDENT OF SCHNUCK'S GROCERY, AFTER HIS SPEECH AT THE CHAMBER'S ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP BANQUET.  MR. SCHNUCK SPOKE ON THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY AS WELL AS THE VALUES THAT HAVE MADE THE COMPANY WHAT IT IS TODAY.
